The habesha kemis (ሐበሻ habesha, “Ethiopian” ቀሚስ kemis, “dress”) is the traditional attire of Ethiopian and Eritrean women. It is made of cotton fabric, and typically comes in white, grey or beige shades, with characteristic intricate and colorful embroidery. Condition A handmade 100% cotton dress that has been individually checked to ensure a high standard of the stitching and embroidery. May have marks as a result of hand tailoring that are easily removed. Dry cleaning is recommended.
