Then wash the saree in cold water so as to wash out the soap. Make sure to cover the whole saree, while washing it under cold water. Wash the saree till it is free from soap buds. Do not twist or wring out silk items. Always dry your silk saree in a shaded area and avoid direct sunlight. – Always steam iron the silk saree. The iron should be on medium to low heat.
